Introduction to Elastic Container Service (ECS) - 1 hour or 2 hours
Virtual session delivery for up to 5 people on the basics of Elastic Container Service (ECS). We go over the basics of how ECS works and you can start building applications on AWS using ECS. We cover a number of architectures for ECS including backend services, frontend services, worker-tier & async job services. We go into some pros and cons of each approach and deliver the best practices for deploying and managing ECS based architectures.
Introduction to AWS - 1 hour
This training offers a comprehensive overview of Amazon Web Services, designed for beginners and those considering cloud adoption. Over the course of 2-3 hours, participants will gain a foundational understanding of cloud computing concepts and AWS's role in the industry. The session covers key AWS services including compute, storage, database, and networking solutions, as well as essential management tools and security practices. Attendees will learn about AWS's global infrastructure, pricing models, and support options. By the end, participants will be equipped with the knowledge to set up an AWS account and begin exploring the platform's capabilities, positioning them to make informed decisions about how to leverage AWS for your organizations needs.
Introduction to Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) - 3 hours
This training provides a comprehensive overview of AWS's managed Kubernetes service. Designed for DevOps engineers, system administrators, and developers, this 3-hour session covers the fundamentals of containerization and Kubernetes before diving into EKS-specific features. Participants will learn how to set up and manage an EKS cluster, deploy applications, and integrate with other AWS services. The training explores EKS architecture, networking, security best practices, and scalability options. Through hands-on exercises, attendees will gain practical experience in deploying containerized applications, managing worker nodes, and implementing basic monitoring and logging. By the end of the session, participants will have a solid foundation in EKS, enabling them to leverage its capabilities for orchestrating containerized workloads.
Introduction to AWS CDK - 3 hours
This training offers developers and DevOps professionals a powerful new approach to defining cloud infrastructure as code. In this hands-on, 3-hour session, participants will explore how CDK enables the use of familiar programming languages like TypeScript to model and provision AWS resources. The course covers CDK fundamentals, including constructs, stacks, and apps, and demonstrates how to leverage CDK's high-level abstractions for common architectural patterns. Attendees will learn to create, deploy, and manage infrastructure using CDK, understand its integration with AWS CloudFormation, and explore best practices for version control and testing. By the end of the training, participants will be equipped to accelerate their infrastructure deployment processes, improve code reusability, and enhance collaboration between development and operations teams using CDK.
